About Us

Chassity is the co-owner of Urban Massage Therapy and has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2002. Chassity graduated from the Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy in 2002. She also completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Winnipeg and is a co-owner of Urban Massage Therapy. With her clinical experience and years of running our clinic, she uses a scientific approach to helping the most complicated patient pathologies.

Christian graduated from Evolve College of Massage Therapy in 2021. He incorporates a variety of techniques into his massage treatments such as deep tissue, myofascial release and functional muscle release. His goal is to educate and help clients live a much more comfortable life.

John graduated from Evolve College of Massage Therapy in 2021. Before pursuing a career in massage therapy, he was a successful Rehabilitation Assistant working with stroke patients as part of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) community stroke care service.

John has a passion for helping people in pain and discomfort by applying specific techniques supported by his knowledge in assessment, cupping, myofascial release, Swedish relaxation and deep tissue massage. His client-centred approach involves working with his clients to reach their goals and investigating the root cause of their dysfunction and pain.

I am a graduate of Alberta Massage Training but a Winnipeger born and raised. In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba.

More recently I have added Myofascial Cupping to my toolkit and have begun taking courses towards RAPID NFR, completing upper body thus far.

Through my personal life and years of practice, I have seen how physical and mental stressors can cause ailments throughout the body and manifest themselves differently in each person. I believe regular massage/manual therapy can play a key role in helping manage these ailments and is essential for long-term health and wellness. As your RMT, I will use a variety of techniques to help address your individual needs. My ultimate goal for every treatment is simple, I want you to leave here feeling better than when you walked in.

Mike is the co-owner of Urban Massage Therapy and has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2001. He is a graduate of Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy and holds accreditation in “Foundations of Acupuncture” from the College of Acupuncture and Therapeutics. With over 20 years’ of massage experience, Mike now solely practices a form of Neurofascial Reset called RAPID and acupuncture so that he can help clients overcome more targeted pain, injuries and imbalances.

Nadia has extensive experience with Swedish massage, therapeutic/deep tissue flushing techniques, heat/cold therapy and pre-natal massage. She graduated from Wellington College of Remedial Massage in 2007 and prides herself on addressing each individual’s treatment goals. She loves educating clients on massage self-care (diet, exercise, stretching) and ergonomics for at home/workplace in the prevention of further injury. Back in 2007, Nadia had the opportunity to travel to Coventry, England to Tiny Tim’s Children Centre, a centre providing free therapy to children with disabilities. She completed her massage practicum at the centre finding it humbling to be surrounded by children who never stopped smiling even whilst they overcame great challenges. She has since volunteered massage to promote Wellness Weeks for several companies and charity events such as MS Bike Tour, Women’s Wellness Fair, WestJet, The U of M and the Pan Am Summer Games.

Sean has returned to Winnipeg after living in Nova Scotia for several years. Sean successfully achieved a bachelors degree in Science at the University of Winnipeg and a specialized advanced degree in Ocean Biology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. Sean received his Massage Therapy education at ICT Northumberland College in Halifax, NS and graduated Valedictorian of his class in 2011 Sean then became a teacher for ICT Northumberland College and continued to practice Massage Therapy, eventually owning and operating his own Holistic Wellness Clinic in Nova Scotia. Sean brings very well rounded skills, some of these include, Sports Injury Massage, where Sean had volunteered as a Massage Therapist at the Halifax Blue Nose Marathon; additionally Sean was the Massage Therapist for the Canadian National Dragon Boat Team, where Sean travelled with the team and helped with any acute or chronic injuries for the paddlers. Sean has treatment success with Post Surgery Massage, Whiplash, Frozen Shoulder, and Plantar Fasciitis to name a few. Sean has been trained as a RAPID Neurofascial Reset Specialist, plus Foot Reflexology, and Reiki. Sean is excited to be a part of the Urban Massage team and ready to meet you and help with your needs.
